We currently receive a high number of phone calls from members of public making requests to collect their unwanted goods accumulated during the lock down period, when people use their spare time for clearing their accommodation.
The waste bins capacity does not allow to dispose all unwanted goods and all household waste recycling centers are closed for public. There is a growing concern of a high possibility of infestations and fly tipping.
We aim to support the key waste management service in accordance with the "Government Guidance for schools, childcare providers, colleges and local authorities in England on maintaining educational provision", published on 19 March 2020.
All unwanted goods will be collected in accordance with the following Policy:
1. All charity collection bags will be disinfected before being distributed
2. The key collecting staff will practice social distancing at all times
3. The key collecting staff will wear protective masks and gloves whilst working in the community
